A young lady had become exasperated when many jewelers told her a silver ring with Swarovski crystals simply couldn't be sized. Putting a soldering torch to the ring shank under a traditional repair process would have immediately destroyed the delicate heat-sensitive crystals. Fortunately, she made one final stop to Golden Crown Jewelers where micro-welding was able to do what others couldn't.
After the shank was worked to the proper size, the open ends were fused by adding pure silver in the micro-welding process. Since the procedure uses no flames, the ring remained safe at all times.
The welded area is shaped to be uniform with the rest of the ring. All that's required is a quick polishing and the customer is on her way.
